This four-storey, 25,000 sf office building occupies a prominent corner on Spring Garden Road and is one of the first projects in the Downtown Core designed and constructed in conformance with the HRM By Design Guidelines.  It houses the Spring Garden Branch of TD Bank, as well as its offices and training centre operations on three floors.  A spa occupies the lower level and the offices of DSRA Architecture are located on the top floor.  The design of the building focused on the design and development of the two primary facades facing onto Birmingham Street and Spring Garden Road, and how those facades could present a strong, modern, unified civic presence while responding to the different scales and characters of the two streets.  The use of south-facing brise-soleil and ceramic-fritted glazing on the western facade serve to create a strong identity for the building and to temper solar heat gain and glare.  A fully-transparent ground floor and a glazed entrance canopy provide protection for pedestrians and enhance the pedestrian experience.  A 40-foot clear span in steel allows maximum programming flexibility in each space.
