Elizabeth Powell NSAA
Elizabeth provides design, production and project leadership a diverse range of projects at DSRA, including institutional projects, and commercial renovations and expansions. She is both pragmatic and innovative in her approach to design and problem solving, reflecting her ongoing interest in practical and conceptual research, and her education in engineering and architecture. With nine years of design and construction experience, she has worked on commercial retail, hotel and hospitality, multi-unit residential, institutional fit-ups, and transit infrastructure projects. Elizabeth has worked extensively with adaptive reuse projects, and is well-versed in the complexity of occupied renovations. She has worked with several prominent architectural practices across Canada including Omar Gandhi Architects in Halifax, and Gair Williamson Architects in Vancouver.
Elizabeth has been a guest critic at the Dalhousie School of Architecture. She also provides educational support to the University for courses and summer design-build workshops as an instructor in digital design methods, parametric modelling and additive manufacturing.
